I received a phone call from Grammy Pam the morning of Tuesday, July 8th, informing me that Kristian had a couple of bumps (pimple looking) on her bottom before she went to bed the night before and now she has more on her bottom, one on her tummy and one on her leg. I immediately called her doctors office because there had been a little boy at daycare that had chicken pox back around June 9th. When we found out about the little boy at daycare I called her doctors office and was told that the incubation period for chicken pox is 2 weeks, well I guess Kristian proved them wrong. I met my mother-in-law at the doctors office @ 1:15 p.m. We were a little shocked that they weren't treating Kristian as a highly contagious patient. We waited in the waiting room, then was called back to a room. When the doctor looked at the bumps she said she was 95% sure Kristian had chicken pox. She described the bumps as "dew drop on a rose petal." She asked me if Kristian had her vaccine for chicken pox (varicella) and I told her yes. We were asking Kristian is she was itchy, sick, etc. and she answered no to all the questions. The only symptoms Kristian has was the bumps. She didn't even itch.....praise the Lord!! The doctor suggestion Kristian stay home until the bumps were completely gone. Kristian loved that because her and I stayed home the rest of Tuesday and all of Wednesday, then she was off to Grammy & Papa's until Friday :)

Celebrating Independence Day 2008
Independence Day 2008 was a blast. This year we had a BBQ at our house with 2 other neighbors. I love our neighbors. There is nothing better than hanging out and having fun with the people you live by!! Everyone started coming over to our house around 4:30 p.m. before that, Kathy, Jonah, & Noah showed up. I walked into Kristian's toy room to this.......

Company Picnic @ The Happiest Place on Earth, 6/23/08
This year the company I work for decided to have our company picnic @ Disneyland on Saturday, June 23, 2008. We thought, for sure, it would be extremely crowded being a Saturday, but we were lucky.
Thanks Burke!!
